Warrnambool is at the western end of the Great Ocean Road. Often visitors drive from Melbourne along the scenic Great Ocean Road route staying the night in Warrnambool before taking the quicker 3 hours drive on the inland Hamilton Highway back to Melbourne.

Hopkins House Motel and Apartments are located on the Hopkins Highway as you drive north out of Warrnambool in the direction of Camperdown and Melbourne.
